
Kelvin is the Founding Partner of Tipping Point Ventures, which evolved from GlobalLink1 Capital. Together, they were Series A investors in several highly successful startups, including Astera Labs (IPO in March 2024), nusemi (acquired by Cadence Design Systems), Diakopto (acquired by ANSYS), and Kinara (acquired by NXP).
Before co-founding Tipping Point Ventures, Kelvin was Senior Vice President of Corporate Development at Astera Labs, where he spearheaded corporate growth and diversification strategy, playing a key role in the company’s IPO and its rise to a $30 billion leader in AI connectivity for hyperscale data centers.
Previously, he served as Chief Operating Officer at Diakopto, an EDA startup acquired by Ansys, and as Vice President of Business Development at nusemi, a high-speed SerDes company acquired by Cadence. He also served as Vice President of Corporate & Business Development at NetLogic Microsystems, which was acquired by Broadcom for $3.9 billion, after which he led M&A strategy for Broadcom’s Infrastructure & Networking division. Kelvin began his career in engineering, marketing and management roles at Intel, Level One Communications, STMicroelectronics, Globespan, Virata, and Conexant.
He holds an M.S.E.E. from U.C. Berkeley and a B.S.E.E. from Washington State University.
