Pavan Kumar Hanumolu is a principal technologist at Omni Design Technologies and the Seendripu Family Professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign (UIUC). He earned his B.Tech. from the Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani, and a Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Oregon State University.
His primary research interests focus on the design of energy-efficient analog and mixed-signal integrated circuits. His work spans several critical areas, including high-speed wireline transceivers for data communication, clock generation circuits such as phase-locked loops (PLLs), analog-to-digital converters (ADCs), and integrated power electronics for efficient power management. Innovations from his research group have been widely adopted in the industry.
Prof. Hanumolu has served the academic community extensively. He served as Editor-in-Chief of the prestigious IEEE Journal of Solid-State Circuits from 2012 to 2018 and has been a key member of the technical program committees for the International Solid-State Circuits Conference (ISSCC) and the VLSI Circuits Symposium. He was named an IEEE Fellow for his significant contributions to energy-efficient integrated circuits.
