Low Power, Protocol Agnostic Multirate Re-Drivers
Omni Design’s protocol and data rate agnostic re-driver IP offers a low power, low complexity alternative to traditional clock and data recovery based high speed serial interface for transmission over copper cable or FR4 PCB material. Our equalization and pre-emphasis IP is modular, designed to work with on chip termination for a solution that is easy to integrate and low power.  The re-driver can compensate for losses in cable as well as FR4 PCB trace. The unique architecture allows easy re-configuration of a channel as TX or RX as needed by the user.  We offer several IP blocks including:
  • Low power FR4 Re-Driver
  • Low power copper cable Re-Driver
  • Low power standalone output Pre-Emphasis driver
  • Low power standalone input Equalizer

  • Reconfigurable design allows any port to be configured as RX or TX as needed
  • No external clock needed
