Kevin Guay

Vice President of Design Automation

Kevin P. Guay brings over 25 years of experience in layout design, EDA, CAD, IP-reuse and automation to Omni Design. From 1989 to 1999 he worked at IBM in Physical Failure Analysis and Layout Design, where he received numerous awards for productivity and yield improvement.  From 1999 to 2005 he worked at Cadence Design Systems as a pre-sale application engineer and a Technical Account Manager.  While at Cadence he received awards for Rookie of the Year and sales team of the year.

In 2005, Kevin returned to IBM as a Senior VLSI Mask Design Engineer.  At IBM he was a lead designer and liaison for the first collaborative design project to merge IBM technology with delivered external intellectual property.   Kevin joined Cambridge Analog Technologies in 2009 as the Layout and CAD Manager, responsible for PDK development and layout for high performance mixed signal circuits including ADCs, DACs and PLLs.  Cambridge Analog Technologies was acquired by Maxim in 2011, where Kevin was responsible for PDK development, methodology, IP-reuse and productivity.

Kevin joined Omni Design Technologies in 2016 as the Director of EDA, where he leads the full front to back PDK development, CAD, and layout operations.

Kevin has patents and publications in IC design and extensive experience with analog, digital and mixed-signal circuits including ADCs, DACs, DFEs and PLLs.  He also has experience with high and ultra-low power physical design, as well as programming, PDK Development, Sales and Customer support.
